Perks Of Being A Wallflower - Stephen Chbosky

Genre:Fiction, Young Adult Fiction
Rate:⭐⭐⭐⭐✩

The Perks Of Being A Wallflower is one of my new favorite book ever! Any freshmen that starting high school in September should read this book. This book will make you go threw a emotional roller-coaster. This book have everything everyone will go through when they are in high school. Struggling to find friends, sex, drugs, sexuality, relationship and much more you can find in this book. Charlie the main character who is a social outcast and have zero friends till he meet two people name Patrick and Sam. Patrick (who gay) and Sam (Charlie Crush) change Charlie from a shy little white boy to a weed smoking alcohol drinking emotional train wreck .... which was a good thing. Charlie also learned about sex and masturbation thanks to his friend Patrick.....( Charlie not gay and Patrick and Charlie didn't have sex). Charlie try so hard to fit in  and make everyone happy it lands him in the hospital and where he find out what really wrong with him. There's one part in the book I really like which was the poem that Charlie gave to Sam and it is the same poem Charlie friend Michel gave to Charlie right before he disappear. Overall this book is one of the best books I ever read and if you don't wanna read the book you could always watch the movie but the movie wasn't as good the book and it skipped out A lot of good parts in the book.

Here's the poem:

Once on a yellow peice of paper with green lines
he wrote a poem
and he called it "chops"
because that was the name of his dog
and thats what it was all about
his teacher gave him an A
and a gold star
and his mother hung it on the kitchen door
and read it to his aunts.
that was the year Father Tracy
took all the kids to the zoo
and he let them sing on the bus
and his little sister was born
with tiny nails and no hair
and his mother and father kissed alot
and the girl around the corner sent him a
Valentine signed with a row of X's
and he had to ask his father what the X's meant
and his father always tucked him in bed at night
and was always there to do it

once on a piece of white paper with blue lines
he wrote a poem
he called it "Autumn"
because that was the name of the season
and that's what it was all about
and his teacher gave him an A
and asked him to write more clearly
and his mother never hung it on the kithcen door
beause of the new paint
and the kids told him
that Father Tracy smoked cigars
and left butts on the pews
and sometime they would burn holes
that was the year his sister got glasses
with thick lenses and black frames
and the girl around the corner laughed
when he asked her to go see santa claus
and the kids told him why
his mother and father kissed alot
and his father never tucked him in bed at night
and his father got mad
when he cried for him to do it

once on a paper torn from his notebook
he wrote a poem
and he called it "Innocence: A Question"
because that was the question about his girl
and thats what it was all about
and his professor gave him an A
and a strange steady look
and his mother never hung it on the kitchen door
because he never showed her
that was the year Father Tracy died
and he forgot how the end
of the Apostles's Creed went
and he caught his sister
making out on the back porch
and his mother and father never kissed
or even talked
and the girl around the corner
wore too much make up
that made him cough when he kissed her
but he kissed her anyway
becuase it was the thing to do
and at 3 am he tucked himself into bed
his father snoring soundly

that's why on the back of a brown paper bag
he tried another poem
and he called it "Absolutely Nothing"
because that's what it was really all about
and he gave himself an A
and a slash on each damned wrist
and he hung it on the bathroom door
because this time he didnt think
he could reach the kitchen----

Search For Safety -John Langan

Genre:Realistic Fiction
Rate:⭐✩✩✩✩(1/5)

(Before I start this blog post I would like to say this is strictly my opinion and I'm sorry for anyone I offend.(THIS IS JUST A OPINION)
Let me start by saying that I hate the Bluford Series. I think Bluford books are one of the most racist, stereotypical books ever. It give all black people this type of hood/ghetto persona that isn't most of the time true. Black people barely have books  about them and the book we do have about us is highlights all the bad and negative things about us. Also the fact the author ... a white man who thinks he knows enough about black people to write a book like this is f***king crazy. Almost every single book in the Blueford Series is about child abuse, pregnant teens and gangs and fun fact these are the types of books they let in school but you barely or never catch one book about gay people in schools but these books are good for teen to read? I have a little message for the author of this book and the rest of the people who think writing books like this is acceptable. Dear white people it is not OK to write books like this. It don't matter if you black friends or hang  out with black people it is not OK. Writing books like this just give black people a bad name that have been already stained with for years and when we try to get rid of it shit like this keep bringing us back down. Don't think I forgot about my fellow black people I got a little message for y'all to. Dear black people as long as you let people continue write book about us like this nothing will ever change. People who enjoy reading books like this I hope y'all don't stop reading but just stop reading these book. I read the book and it a OK book but I will never read a book like this again in my life.

Silver - Chris Wooding

Genre:Fiction,Horror,Sci-fi
Rate:⭐⭐✩☆☆( 2/5)

If your a person who like horror and is look for a quick book to read Sliver by Chris Wooding is a book you might wanna read.It about teenagers and kids trying to survive a bio maniacal disease outbreak at a bore-ding school. One thing I love about this book that it tell the story from 5 teenagers prospective who are all from different social groups but have to work together despite there differences. It basically a more zombiefied f##k up version of the hunger games (Spoiler Alert) everyone dies. I'm a person who don't really like sci-fi or horror but I could never put the book down. One thing I hate about this book is that it just left you on a major cliff hanger. There really nothing special about this book it just like every other horror book everyone always people die. If your bored you should read it.If your more advance reader this book is not for you. There not really much to say about this book it just a good book.
